Current cookie status
KillMetadata does not intentionally set or read advertising, analytics, personalization, or account cookies. There is no cookie banner because the current service does not use optional cookies that require a choice. If this changes, this notice and any required consent control will be updated before optional cookies are used.
Browser storage used by the processor
The offline processor uses Service Worker Cache Storage for a versioned allowlist of static HTML, JavaScript, WebAssembly, worker, icon, and manifest assets. This lets the processor run cache-only before a file can be selected. Cache Storage is not used for selected files, metadata reports, or cleaned outputs.
The processor does not persist file data in localStorage or IndexedDB. Temporary Blob URLs exist only in memory for download fallback and are revoked after use. Normal browser history and download records are controlled by your browser, not by KillMetadata.
Infrastructure security technologies
Cloudflare delivers and protects the public website and may use network-level security signals or strictly necessary technologies under its own configuration and privacy policy. KillMetadata does not use those signals for advertising or cross-site tracking and does not receive selected file bytes through them.
Your controls
You can inspect or clear site data in your browser settings. Clearing killmetadata.com data removes the cached offline application and may require the static assets to be downloaded again before the file picker is enabled. Browser privacy signals do not alter the processor because it performs no behavioral advertising or sale of personal information.
Changes to this notice
This notice will be updated if browser storage, analytics, advertising, or consent practices change. The new date will appear at the top of the page.
